Summary: She was right. They had both earned the right to live a little.

Notes: This is set between A disquiet follows my soul and the Oath. There is no set timeline between the two episodes and in ADFMS they are in her quarters and in The Oath, his. So somehow they both got there, which makes me think the Oath was not a direct follow on. So let’s say this is set the night before The Oath.

Also, a special thankyou to [info]missbevcrusher for correcting my tragic punctuation and generally helping me knock this fic into shape. You rock!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything related to BSG, I am only doing this for fun and am making no profit. Nor do the words of the book Bill is reading belong to me. That is from The shadow of the wind- Carlos Ruiz Zafon (read it, it is awesome)

Notes: I wanted to write a one shot, and so I asked a friend to give me a plot idea. So she gave me, end of 4.5, Earth but with a twist. Laura will survive but not through some miracle cure. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention there is a two year old Adama running around. (Yes, ok here be babyfic, but I have kept it as serious as it can be with a toddler involved)

Summary: Everyone assumed the Earth was dead, the planet just a barren wasteland, but soon it becomes clear that everything isn’t as it appears and in the very dirt they stand upon is a mystery spanning hundreds of lifetimes. Bill and Laura find themselves questioning everything they had ever known – their relationship becoming the only thing that holds them together. What happened to Earth and why does it seem so hauntingly familiar?
